Another sunburst mirror

Who doesn't love a Sunburst mirror?
I know I do!

They can be a little expensive when purchased from a store.
Here is one from Lightopia that sells one for $149.00

Pottery Barn used to sell this Sunburst driftwood mirror for over $200

The great thing about these mirrors is they are so easy to make and you probably already have the materials lying around in your home to make one yourself.

Here is one I made using the tutorial from JandJhome

I love this mirror so much I searched more blogs for a little inspiration!

Shelly over at  Crazy Wonderful made this amazing sunburst mirror!

Natalie from Beach house in the city
made this Sunburst mirror.

Her home was also just featured on the Nate Berkus Show

After all that inspiration, I decided to make a Sunburst mirror of my own!

I used some dowels from Walmart in two different sizes.

6 - 1/2" @ .77 ea

4 -1/8" @ .25 ea

The mirror was from the Dollar Tree...for you named it...$1.00! I spray painted the bigger dowels in metallic silver and left the smaller ones the natural color.

Before you start to glue anything, be sure to know which order you would like to place them.

I free handed it, but I don't suggest that!

To hang the mirror on the wall I used jewelry wire. I attached it to two rods and glued the wire into place

This project only took about 10 minutes. The longest part was the spray painting!
