old filing cabinent turned nightstand!

A while back I was roaming my local Goodwill in hopes of finding something really great!
Thankfully, it turned out to be one of those trips that makes me remember exactly how much I love thrifting and what a sense of accomplishment it gives me!

Remember this!?

I fell in love as soon as I saw it (only at $20 bucks how could I resist!) I knew exactly where I wanted it to go! I would use it as a nightstand for my husband's side! It was masculine, the gold trim was gorgeous and with some paint I knew it would be beautiful!

It took me a while to get to it, but now it's all complete and looks exactly how I imagined!

It took quite a few coats of paint. I started with a brush, and finished with a small trim roller to smooth all the lines

The master bedroom is coming along!
I spray painted our curtain robs white to go with our new curtains!
I purchased the fabric from fabric.com

Here's the progress!

  2. Wow! I would not have seen the potential in that piece but you certainly did. It's fantastic! Also LOVE that fabric you picked out. I've pondered that one myself. Your candy corn wreath caught my daughter's eye...now she wants one! Thanks for your sweet comment on my laundry room. Have a great week!
